Don’t let lack of money or insurance keep you from protecting your health
Joe Robach and his office today has joined with the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program in their October breast cancer awareness campaign to help women to get mammograms.
“October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a significant time to remind women to get mammograms,” says Joe Robach. “Some women may have financial difficulties and the Adelphi Breast Cancer Hotline will help them to get a free or low cost mammogram.”
For more information, call the Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program at 800-877-8077. Callers can also get emotional support from the hotline’s specially trained volunteers, most of who are women who have had breast cancer. The hotline has been in existence for over three decades. It is a project of the Adelphi University School of Social Work on Long Island. All services are free. The web site is: www.adelphi.edu/nysbreastcancer.
