After a great response from the community in 2011, Senator Joe Robach and his office are once again teaming up with the Greece Ecumenical Clothes Closet to benefit children. Similar to last summer, they will be collecting backpacks and school supplies for children prior to the start of the 2012-2013 academic year. Donations will be accepted through Friday, August 10th.
“There is a great need for supplies for children heading back to school,” says Mickey Corsi of the Greece Ecumenical Clothes Closet. “We thank Senator Joe Robach and his office for partnering with us to make sure that every child is properly prepared to be educated when they return to school in September.”
“The community had an overwhelming response last summer,” says Senator Joe Robach. “After realizing how much supplies are needed for school children in our area, it was easy to partner once again with the clothes closet to make sure they can meet the demand.”
Supplies that are in demand include:
- Pens – Blue and Black
- Pencils – Standard and Colors
- Rulers and protractors
- Lined paper and pads, composition paper
- Basic calculators
- Glue sticks
You can drop off back to school supplies at either the office of Senator Joe Robach, 2300 West Ridge Road in Greece, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or directly at the Greece Ecumenical Clothes Closet, 500 Maiden Lane in Greece, Monday through Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
